Till Guitars Model TG-100 "Solo"

The TG-100 "Solo" was my first original guitar design.

I've been building this model continuously since I began building guitars in 1996. In the years since, it's gone through a number of incremental improvments to become the versatile guitar that it is today. Though it borrows heavily from the Gibson stable of guitars with it's 24 3/4 inch scale and standard dual humbucker pickup configuration, the Solo has considerably more tonal range than the MelodyMaker from which it was inspired.
The TG-100's semi-hollow body construction adds a 'woody' tone that allows for nearly 'acoustic' sounding rhythms when the humbuckers are tapped for single coil operation.

A tapped Seymour Duncan "JB" in the bridge position can give you some familiar country twang. And when you tap the "Jazz" humbucker at the neck, you get some of the smoothest jazz tones known.

I'll likely change it's name soon. But, I chose the name Solo for a few reasons. FIrstly, because it's so fun to solo on. The short scale allows for easy string bending and acrobatic lead runs.
Secondly, I decided during the construction of my first guitar should always be made by one person from start to finish. For now that would be me. But as Till Guitars grows, I still want this model to be handmade all the way by the one person focussing all of their skills on every aspect of this model.

I also call it the Solo because it really is the only guitar that a professional needs to cover a variety of gigs.

By now, I've gotten to know this guitar pretty well. I can make this model do almost anything I ask.
