Deal of the Month: TG-250 #109
I remember putting the finishing touches on this guitar late into the night the evening before heading up to the Vintage Guitar show in San Rafael, Ca. in 2008. Well, it didn't sell at the show (nothing sold at that show!), so on my way home I put it up on consignment in Santa Cruz where she sat for a full year practically untouched.
A full year later I transferred it down the coast to Central Coast Music in Morro Bay where it swung from it's hook right above the cash register for almost another year.
I don't get it. This guitar plays like butter! Everyone in town agreed. I didn't get one offer. Headstock Rearview
Their loss was my gain. Thanks to the recent sale of my previously favorite Till Guitar, I've kind of adopted this one as my "grab and go" guitar. I really dig it. The bolt-on neck is medium/fat. It starts out U-shaped then flattens out to more of a C-shape by about the tenth fret.
The fretboard is from the richest, creamiest piece of Pau Ferro I've ever seen. You can feel the resonance up to your elbows. I must admit, I've almost been distracted by the beauty of the woods on the neck. Especially where the fretboard meets the curlymaple neck. Mesmerizing.
Don't feel bad about taking my new favorite guitar. I've got plenty of old beaters up in the rafters.
I'll be glad to give you an absolutely honest description of this and any of my guitars just for the asking. I can provide you with detailed measurements and specifications.
